Declaration of Romanticism

Against the confines of society, I declare the right to be inspired. By all the artistic opportunities in this world, I want to embody myself in the lavishness of nature. By the ample stream, I imbibe clearness of mind; by the wind in the tree, I inhale breaths of wisdom; by the ray of the sun, I nurture my soul; by the wild of the flower, I unearth my greatest desires; in these moments of reflection and self-examination are the times I determine my inspiration: I am an artist.

While some may look upon the indoor halls for incentive, although a good contained space for learning, walls do not satisfy; buildings were created by man. Hence, on the interior search, one would only be inspired by man. It takes human-free entities to quench one’s imaginative thirst. As for me, I hunger for unique edge and innovative thought in my artwork and strong technique and graceful flow in my dance.

By the charcoal of my pencil and the ribbon of my point shoe, I further assert the right to be inspired. Creativity starts at the heart- I want to indulge myself in the thrill and unfamiliarity of inspiration. The only spirit that can envelop such an implication wholly is that of a free spirit, one cast away from the conforming society, forever enchanted by the youthful innocence and royal rapture of a passion for dreams and imagination, for truth and observance, for no guilt in pleasure! These concepts fill me with inspiration, capturing the beauty that I find in the stream, tree, wind, sun, and flower; I bathe in the accomplishment of capturing the moment with my humble pencil on paper and body in movement, immediately moving me to realize that true inspiration lingers just outside my door.
